Roann Byrne

Welcome to my website! My name is Roann Byrne. I am a chef, food writer, academic and co-founder of Danu. Danu focuses on developing technology across the Irish food and drink industry.

Since founding my own cake business at 16, I've worked all across Irish food. With a BSc in Baking and Pastry Arts, a BA Culinary Arts, and an MA in Gastronomy and Food Studies, I am passionate about all things food.

 

My engagement in Irish food has been recognized as one of The Irish Time's '50 to Watch for 2023' list, and as a Taste the Atlantic Young Chef Ambassador. I am a judge for Blas na hÉireann and Guaranteed Irish.
